VE-4623 is n-Hexadecyltriethoxysilane, it has molecular structure as follows:
VE-4623 is a long-chain alkyl alkoxy silane. It is easy to dissolved in ordinary organic solvent, and easy to be hydrolyzed to generate silanol. The silanol can be condensed and synthesize polysiloxane, or react with other functional group such as hydroxyl to form a new structure. Long-chain alkyl has character like compatible in organic solvent, and hydrophobic.

Application
• Used as water-repellent products as it has superior hydrophobicity.
• Can be used to treat surface of mineral fillers, pigments to obtain good hydrophobicity.
• Can be used as scorch retardant in moisture crosslinked wire and cable compounds, to improve processability and shelf life.
• Can be used for polyolefin production.
